Fra Shark Bay gik turen videre til Coral Bay og Ningaloo Marine park, som var en af hovedårsagerne til at vi ville til Western Australia. Ningaloo Marine Park er vestkystens svar på Great Barrier Reef. Men her ligger revet flere steder så tæt på kysten at man selv kan svømme derud. Ningaloo Reef er også et af de eneste steder i verden, hvor man kan forudse hvornår verdens største fisk – hvalhajen – kommer forbi.
Vi brugte den første dag på at snorkle fra stranden og nyde solen. Næste dag havde vi booket en heldags snorkeltur, hvor vi skulle ud og svømme med Manta Rays, som er kæmpe rokker der have et vingefang på op til 7m og veje 2 ton. Vi kom ud med båden, men lige da vi havde fundet en Manta, gik motoren i stykker. Så dagen gik i stedet med at vente på slæbebåden, der trak os tilbage til havnen. Vi fik alle vores penge tilbage, men var alligevel ærgerligt at have spildt en helt dag på at vente (og værre søsyg i Majas tilfælde).
Det var meningen at vi skulle videre op til Exmouth og snorkle med hvalhajer den næste dag og derfra lavede de ikke Manta Ray ture. Så vi blev enige om at køre tilbage til Coral Bay et par dage senere og tage på en ny Mantatur.

Dunno about ‘famous’, infamous more like it!!! I have done the Gibb 3 times now and with a bit of luck will be part of giidung a photography tour up there next year with All Terrain 4WD Safaris. This will be 4WDs and swags though I am well aware of the upside down horizon down under and have experienced the crooked horizon phenomena myself back in May so I will go very easy on you Followed your blog from the beginning and like your work, was just a bit lazy (must be the aussie in me hehe!!) to start commenting. Well, here I am, watch those horizons!

Ah ..great , another who does dumb thigns like me , welcome to the club Mark. I shot a heap of my Avon Decent pics on the wrong settings ( see my blog ) all happening quickly and me being a bit lazy and not paying attention. I had to do a bit of work on them to get a lot of them up to standard and they are not the type of shots I wanted to spend a lot of time on.

Bo it is then! It seems that we share a few talents I am also colsnantty losing lense caps! I m also guilty of doing dumb things like: forgetting to change the white balance or high ISO settings from a previous shoot etc. I am getting better, but I get so angry with myself when i do it!
